TBD Marketing, the leading legal marketing agency, has released its latest Legal LinkedInfluencer report and intriguingly independent law firms are punching well above their weight.
As well as some familiar voices, such as Dana Denis-Smith (CEO of Obelisk and Founder of the First 100 Years), we also seen a fresh approach honed on other social media platforms applied to LinkedIn by Libby Hendry (Head of Social Media at Attwells during the period analysed). However, it’s the team at Thrive Law who are truly dominating the rankings with Jodie Hill (Managing Partner), Tom Stenner-Evans (Employment Law Partner) and Henry Nelson-Case (Commercial Lawyer) claiming the top three spots.
Simon Marshall, founder of TBD Marketing, explained:
“The team crunch the numbers to identify the sector’s top-performing LinkedIn posts on a quarterly basis. Our latest report details the most powerful people on LinkedIn working within the legal industry between 1 July to 30 September 2024. It’s remarkable to see that there are as many people in the Indies list with over 10,000 points as those in the main Top 200 list. While they don’t have the natural advantage of having 2,000+ employees they have a freedom and a liberty that allows them to embrace being an influencer and saying what they like.”
He continued:
“It’s wonderful to see a new generation storming through and ripping up the rule book. Hats off to Libby for shaking things up with her innovative approach. And the rise and rise of Thrive Law is outstanding – the team are killing it. They’re taking full advantage of the flexibility that their structure allows and giving some legal heavyweights a real run for their money. It’s the LinkedIn version of David v Goliath.”
Simon concluded by saying:
“We’re always looking for new Indies to put themselves forward and we’re happy to revise it historically as new voices come forward. The only rules are that you must be regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Law Society of Northern Ireland or the Law Society of Scotland, rather than solely a regulated individual working at an ABS.”
