Our golden rule here at TBD: we never ask you to do something we aren’t willing to do ourselves – so during each session, our founder Si will not only share his wealth of expertise with you but also join you in completing that week’s task.

One hour a week may not sound like a lot. But, just like interest, your efforts will compound over time – and before you know it, you will have eaten the entire BD elephant from trunk to tail. And perhaps be left hungry for more.

How it works

When you are part of The Nudge club, you will receive an email from us every Thursday afternoon containing that week’s BD and marketing task, together with all the relevant information you will need to complete it.

Then – and this is where the magic happens – on Friday morning between 9 am and 10 am, The Nudge Club will assemble on Zoom and you will tackle the weekly BD and marketing task in real time with our support and in the company of your fellow club members.

We will talk you through the best way to approach each task. You can ask us questions, get our feedback, and discuss your work with other club members. All in real time. 

OR you can just join the call, tackle the task quietly and yet still be held accountable among a group of like-minded professionals.

The questions and answers generated during each Q&A session will then be fed by us into a knowledge bank that you will have unlimited access to.

The Nudge is a BD and marketing club for lawyers. The club members will meet for an hour every Friday morning to complete a set task together in real time with the support and guidance of TBD’s founder, digital marketing expert Simon Marshall. Every quarter, you will also receive a 1:1 accountability call with Simon to help keep you on track.

The Nudge is primarily aimed at senior associates and law-firm partners (PQE+5 upwards) who struggle to get their marketing and BD tasks done, or who lack confidence in this area. However, more junior or more senior lawyers, as well as barristers, may also benefit from joining our club and completing the BD and marketing tasks we will set for you.

We are planning to hold 46 hour-long sessions over the course of the first year of The Nudge Club.
If you cannot attend one of our Friday Zoom calls, don’t panic – although we aren’t planning to record the sessions, you will still have access to the knowledge bank we generate during the missed session, and you can catch up with the task at a time that is convenient for you.

We think that the true magic of The Nudge takes place by attending our Club meetings ‘live’ and taking part in real time alongside like-minded colleagues. This cannot really be replicated by watching a session back. This is also why we want to encourage our club members to attend whenever possible.
