TBD Marketing, the leading legal marketing agency, has unveiled its latest quarterly report celebrating the best use of LinkedIn within law firms.
The top 5 for Q3 2024 are:
- Jen Shipley, Irwin MItchell
- Ilana Kattan, Hogan Lovells
- Sophie Wardell, Higgs
- Justin Farrance, A&O Shearman
- Mark Stephens CBE, Howard Kennedy
Simon Marshall, founder of TBD Marketing, explained:
“Our report highlights the 100 most influential people on LinkedIn working at the top 200 UK law firms. And what a list it is! Some of these people are more influential than entire law firms on the platform. Their posts resonate and reverberate across LinkedIn, making them true power players.”
Simon continued:
“Jen Shipley has reclaimed the number one spot, having more than doubled her score this quarter. Sophie Wardell has shot up from 7and in terms of comments she’s the most influential individual in the UK legal sector. She’s gone from posting nicely and gently about Higgs to becoming one of the ‘go to’ voices for what the industry is thinking is about HR matters. It’s also great to see her colleague, Michelle Hughes, ranking for the first time this quarter.”
“In producing the 2024 Q3 report, the team analysed tens of thousands of posts . The score needed to break into the top 100 has risen fractionally which we think is because this quarter it includes August. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to break into the Top 10 as the list settles but it is possible. Take a bow Emma Geale of Mills & Reeve and Salma Maqsood of Thrings.”
Jen Shipley added:
“I’ve used LinkedIn consistently for the last four years, having been a sporadic user previously. Since then I haven’t looked back. The platform has opened so many doors for me and has connected me with some incredibly inspirational people who have supported me professionally and personally, including at some of the most challenging times in my life.”
“The introduction of TBD Marketing’s LinkedInfluencer rankings has brought the LinkedIn legal community to life. It has inspired some thought provoking and exciting content and has seen the forging of some strong working (and personal) relationships. It’s been a great motivator for me personally and has seen me fall in love with posting content all over again.”
Simon concluded by saying:
“Our congratulations go to everyone featured in the Top 100. We’re really looking forward to celebrating at our event on Thursday 10 October where a number of our top 10 will be on the panel. It’s been a complete sellout and we’re 200% oversubscribed for this.”
